The old fireplace was in the corner where the art is now located on the left next to the windows. The new fireplace is now centered in the space, for a more accommodating furniture layout, and also wraps into the entry to greet you with a visual path through the fireplace. With this accommodating furniture layout, the new expanded and remodeled L-shaped pool provides you with more water visibility from the interior. Although subtle in the images, note the beautiful basket weave leather design on the two cream colored sofas with the sculptural legs that bring a minor visual texture to this pleasing space.

This kitchen is a study in mixed materials. The use of wood, natural stone, porcelain, glass and metal combine for a design full of visual and tactile textures. The cabinets and flooring are constructed of wood; the island countertop is a natural stone; the backsplash is a combination of porcelain and marble; the wine cellar is behind a 42" glass door; and the metal can be found in the perimeter countertops, hardware, wine racks and appliances. The harmonious use of mixed materials both traditional and contemporary creates an aesthetically pleasing transitional design.

By relocating the original living room staircase to now run parallel to the dining room, as shown above, we were able to create more room in the furniture layout of this space. With a new open floor plan, the use of natural light became more significant, and functionality of each area became key. There originally was a small bar in the corner, where the new glass rail terminates into the wall on the right. This was eliminated and a larger, more functional bar was added to the dining and family room space. For the new living room sitting area, the coffee table shown here has a swivel top for convenience and easy access to any seat in this sitting area. The multicolored acrylic sculpture was specifically selected for these clients and is showcased next to the window to highlight its bold colors through natural illumination.

The Great Room was remodeled with new custom upholstery in soft, durable fabrics, new furnishings, a custom rug, and a built-in niche was designed for the TV and glass collection. Lighting was added to the niche to spotlight the art and placed on a dimmer. The Fireplace was updated with polished stacked stone, floor to ceiling, and wrapped around the wall for a grand effect. New light sconces were added to hallway along with new art. Window treatments were selected for privacy and light control. And, all interior walls were painted a warm gray.

ew of commissioned "Rose Wall" by a local artist, hand-painted using gold metallic paint. The original Art Deco chairs were brought back from overseas and re-cushioned and covered in a commercial-grade faux white shearling. Grey and white marble checkerboard tile mimics those seen in older buildings and has a worn, aged feel.
This Space was transformed into a multi-functional area. It can accommodate Clients for viewing photography, photo shoots can be previewed on the TV screen for final approvals, and the plush velvet furnishings can easily be moved so large backdrops can be set up for booked photography sessions. The Loft above is the perfect place to display work on the railing and creates a somewhat private place for a working Office. The "Spider" ceiling mounted lighting in the Loft adds to the Contemporary feel and compliments the Industrial look. The overall palette coincides with the client's marketing colors and business branding.

We created an architecturally layered rich environment. But always with the budget in mind, by applying stock moulding on the feature wall we were able to create a traditionally-minded room without the cost of custom millwork wall panels. Door styles were coordinated with similar moulding and panel proportions.
