Ski in.. Ski out…Come home to beautiful living. Nestled in the slopes of Deer Valley Utah, the design team was commissioned to create a sophisticated modern mountain retreat by combining two midrise units for an experience that would be both cozy and luxurious in après ski living.

Great room seating is gathered around a custom 19-foot fireplace, which has concealed speakers behind the terra cotta speaker cloth. The speaker cloth is then overlaid with a custom laser cut metal grid. The hearth is floating concrete. The hillside behind the home serves almost like a beautiful mural background for the room.

The designed bar separates the great room with the dining room. This was an added feature to the place. The concrete column was a load bearing column and it was wrapped in Paldeo Wood to make it part of the bar.

During the Demo, it was discovered the 2 existing posts flanking the Island were not structural. The decision was made to remove them to open up the space. The placement of the Appliances were rearranged, and the old dining area was captured as part of the Kitchen. The space becomes functional, has lots of required storage, and provides adequate room for cooking and working in the Kitchen. The French Door Refrigerator was located to the opposite end of the Kitchen and closer to the Farmhouse Sink and Cooktop. There is plenty of room and workable space on the Quartzsite Stone Counter and the Cook can converse with guests sitting at the Island when entertaining. The Custom Designed Hood operates by remote and doubles as LED Lighting and pulls exhaust fumes out through the roof. The Island incorporates a Warming Drawer with a panel front, shelving for Cookbooks, and a Beverage Cooler on the opposite end. Reclaimed Oak Flooring was installed throughout to bring warmth, beauty, and to contrast the Custom Cabinetry colors.p. This allowed for a larger Pantry and space for Double Wall Ovens. The Island becomes the Cooking Area with an Induction Cooktop.

This client who loves color wanted red countertops as part of her kitchen remodel. This posed a challenge as there were limited choices. While red granite is not impossible to find none of the showrooms or fabricators could find any at the time. And laminate material was not an option due to its low luster effects and lower quality connotations. Finally, after much research the designer suggested custom countertops manufactured in metal painted in a jewel toned ruby red color and sealed with an automotive coating. For greater visual impact she recommended using that metal finish as a full height backsplash. Because the product was manufacture in a city 200 miles away other challenges arose that included how to template, transport, and install the product. A local stone fabricator agreed to template and install the material. The templating was the most crucial step in the process since there was no room for error when it was time for installation. All the cutouts including the one for the faucet had to be done by the manufacturer. Due to the painted finish the stone fabricator had no way of making any corrections to the material during the installation process. To achieve the cleanest look the design did not allow for scribe molding to cover any gaps between the cabinetry and the backsplash. The backsplash had to butt up precisely to the cabinetry. To prepare for the transportation process the countertops and backsplash had to be crated for protection.

We specified a white marble floor that we ran through the home, designed custom perimeter cabinets in BM Chantilly Lace, and used SW Tricorn Black on the island to ground the space. Calacatta Gold double ogee-edged countertops contrasted with the Titanium Black granite on the perimeter. A custom matte black hood with polished stainless straps, a curved skirt, and rivets add drama and balance to the black island. The hand-etched marble tile backsplash is from Italy and had to be pieced together individually. Silver and Swarovski crystal hardware coordinates with the silver and crystal island pendant, bringing the sparkle the client's love while maintaining elegance.

The owners opted to keep the travertine floors and base cabinets as part of the home renovation. We Stained the wood with dark walnut to remove the Tuscan feel and built all-new uppers with a more straightforward door detail to give it a transitional sense. Adding an 18" band of glass door uppers helped balance the 14' ceiling height. We removed the drop ceiling and added a tray for the decorative pendants. Mother-of-pearl and dolomite tile run the full height, adding drama and setting the backdrop for the white hi-gloss stainless steel hood with polished nickel detailing. We searched the country for a slab of Crystallo that met the client's high standards and backlit it for drama.

Love the layering of the elements from front to back. It shows a contemporary and clean line of the design itself. Accent lighting enhances all the purposely thoughtful details.

The kitchen features Quarter-sawn walnut cabinetry juxtaposed against high-gloss cabinetry in a gentle warm white hue. The island mimics the main kitchen wall with the distribution of cabinetry finishes, and Taj Mahal marble marries the two finishes effortlessly with it's warm whites and walnut veining. A carbon fiber pendant was commissioned to provide task lighting, but it's unique form makes it equally a sculpture as a light fixture.

Niche was created for mirrors to hang shelf to ceiling with LED back lighting.

Step into this enchanting bathroom and feel instantly transported to a world of whimsy and wonder. Its captivating design and unique charm create an unforgettable experience that is sure to leave a lasting impression.

A bespoke carved wood sink vanity hangs from a ledgestone wall, with a slot window and backlit mirror.

Decorative wall sconces bathe the room in light, while the large, lighted mirror reflects the hand-painted wall treatment. The vanity, with a 4-inch thick marble countertop, appears to float on the white marble wainscoting beneath linear splashes of gold on the wall treatment. Gold hardware and accents add distinction to the vanity’s darker cabinetry.

This gorgeous freestanding tub handcrafted and sculpted from MTI anchors the corner of the wet area. The new window design involved lengthening and squaring off the windows to replace the old Santa Fe look. The multi-tiered pendant chandelier sparkles over the tub. The larger scaled patterned floor does two things. The white background keeps the area feeling light and airy; and provides rhythmic movement to keep the design interesting and eye catching. The diaphanous nature of the window shades and the addition of the table with candles adds a bit of romance to the room.

The stunning new vanity wall becomes a focal point.

She said she wanted to see the bathtub from the hall and this picture was taken from the foot of that hall which is the entrance of the bedroom. Gold Capiz shell wallpaper beyond the tub area is just the right complement to the 24-karat gold leaf glass tile that covers the artfully shaped platform designed to hide the drain and water supplies. LED lighting highlights the niches, outlines the Quartzite slab, and gives the platform a floating ethereal appearance.

We commissioned the textile art from an Australian artist who creates circular weavings. The colors selected draw from the interior design concept and building materials of the home and the yarns provide warmth and texture. The midcentury-inspired sofa is custom and features caramel leather with colorful velvet accent pillows. The plastic amber Kartell Stone Stool serves as a small accent table and in conjunction with the gold plastic Slamp floor lamps, provides a contemporary pop. The custom walnut coffee table provides a simple yet grounding presence in the center of the room, and ties in the warm tones from the ceiling.

With the four-poster bed as the striking centerpiece, natural light illuminates this airy, pristine sleeping and sitting area.

Lighting was key in this space. There is ambient , task and mood lighting. Reading lights pop up from the center of the headboard. The warm finishes of the teak wood and the headboard wall covering makes the headboard wall.

The seating areas are positioned to take advantage of the different views into the interior spaces and the interior lighting and art is positioned to be viewed from the courtyard at night to provide visual drama. The interior spaces were designed to also be viewed from the outdoor space and so the color palette and design concept extends from indoors to out.

We created this beautiful outdoor retreat, featuring multiple seating arrangements, to match the client's outdoor focused lifestyle. Seamless connection to the interior space is enhanced by the stackable patio doors, complimentary rug, transitional lighting and tasteful accent touches. Outdoor/ Indoor living for family, friends and events!

Closing the door to the side of the home allowed us to create a focal wall with the range and hood. We also relocated the fridge to the back wall with a full-height pantry and centered the window and sink to overlook the rear yard. Charcoal cabinets, White Quartz countertops, Brushed Brass, black faucets, and hardware tied the space together elegantly. The latest GE Monogram appliances were specified to satisfy discerning homebuyers. A marble mosaic that runs to the ceiling adds drama without being overpowering. We fit in a 36" counter depth refrigerator, 36" range, drawer microwave, and dishwasher in a previously poorly utilized space. The result was a beautiful and functional kitchen that any chef would want to cook in.

Organized and structured furniture layout. Light fabrics and overall light colors for all finishes and materials. Soothing white wall paint and light wood floors complete this design.

Our goal was to update the interior space planning and finishes in a soft contemporary style with a neutral palate. The dining room furnishings, finishes and upholstery selections were selected to harmoniously interact with the new limestone flooring and the desert landscape view. The space is anchored in part by the chandelier which contributes to the space, but doesn't insist itself. It plays second to the beautiful view in the background.

This is the front entry, located within the interior courtyard. A moat fronts the foyer’s glass windows and accent lights showcase the custom art piece I designed and painted for the entry. The falling of cherry blossoms has special meaning to my client’s relationship and she asked that I create something that depicted that. I painted a large cherry blossom and then covered it in dripping paint and graffiti. The painting also features pinks and oranges, the primary pop colors used in the design concept.

The new bathroom is designed for Aging in Place, in a contemporary, white, glam aesthetic the client requested.

As if stepping into a separate living space, the unique personality and character of this artistically designed wood-grain millwork create an eye-catching, aesthetically pleasing bistro-style wine bar for savoring the finest wines

When it came time to focus on the lobby, we took down a wall and absorbed that space in order to create our two sided kitchenette complete with island for pilots and guests to use while waiting.

A decadent mix of jewel-toned upholstery textured concrete and Moroccan style area rugs create a sumptuous mix for relaxing around with friends.

The large oak bookcase was a response to a design challenge of a somewhat off-kilter traffic pattern, a side entry, and a structural wall that had a 6” jog in it. Using a series of repeating arches that run from the floor and extend to the ceiling the design team created architectural significance. The oak bookshelf is viewed as one large element running floor to ceiling, serving as a display for a collected but neutral palette of accessories, storage for AV equipment, and central TV to run marketing images on repeat
